                                ORDINANCE NO. 9588
                  
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE,
                   SECTION 2-175(B) SO AS TO CHANGE THE AGE
                   ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILDREN.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE:
       	    	 SECTION 1.  That Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Section
       2-175(b) be amended by deleting from the first sentence the 
phrase
       "under twenty-three (23) years of age", from the second sentence
       the phrase "should reach twenty-three (23) years of age", and 
from
       the third sentence the phrase "shall reach twenty-three (23) 
years
       of age" and substitute in each instance the following phrase: 
       "who are under nineteen (19) years of age or twenty-three (23)
       years of age if a student."
       	    	 SECTION 2.  That this Ordinance shall take effect two
       (2) weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
